This is a well-established, forward-looking company employing over 200 people across two Irish facilities, exporting to customers throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. With animal welfare, sustainability, and environmental responsibility at the heart of operations, the business continues to invest in people, processes, and plant upgrades.
The company is now seeking a Technical Manager to lead and enhance food safety and quality systems, ensuring compliance with industry, customer, and regulatory standards while driving a culture of continuous improvement.
As Technical Manager some of your key duties will include:
- Lead and mentor a team of four, building capability and fostering a “risk-based thinking” culture.
- Oversee and update SOPs, HACCP, and accreditations including BRC and Bord Bia.
- Partner with Sales and Management to anticipate international market requirements.
- Build strong relationships with Department of Agriculture officials and other key stakeholders.
- Support ongoing plant upgrade projects, embedding food safety improvements into design.
- Investigate non-conformances, identify root causes, and implement practical corrective actions.
- Keep senior leadership informed of technical and legislative developments impacting operations.
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years’ technical/quality management experience in the food industry.
- Proven leadership, with the ability to engage teams and influence across the business.
- Very strong verbal and written communication skills

This role is based in Co. Tipperary and commutable from Nenagh, Thurles, Templemore, Cashel, Roscrea, Birr, Tullamore, Portlaoise, Mountmellick, Kilkenny City, and surrounding areas.
