Staff Product Security Engineer – Limerick (4 Days Onsite)

Location: Limerick, Ireland (4 days onsite required)
Responsibilities

Guide and mentor the Product Security team, including junior engineer development

Drive security planning, prioritisation, and delivery across products

Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement

Integrate secure-by-design principles into all phases of the product lifecycle

Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability management

Collaborate with R&D, IT, Quality, and Regulatory teams

Translate security strategy into actionable implementation plans

Perform code reviews and provide actionable recommendations

Support incident management and security documentation

Ensure compliance with development policies and quality procedures
About You

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

10+ years’ experience in cybersecurity architecture, secure software development, and/or embedded security

Proven leadership and team-management experience

Strong hands-on knowledge of encryption, PKI, and authentication technologies

Experience with dynamic/static code analysis and secure coding practices

Understanding of network security and emerging threat vectors

Experience working in regulated environments

Excellent stakeholder communication and interpersonal skills
