We are currently inviting applications for Registered General Nurse positions at a hospital facility in Limerick. Multiple roles are available across a range of departments and specialties, offering opportunities tailored to your skills, experience, and interests.
This new 170-bed, state-of-the-art medical facility. It will expand on existing surgical services while also introducing new specialties, including cardiology, medical assessment, and other medical services.

- Salary: €36,919 – €54,928 (Staff Nurse Salary Scale)
Candidate Criteria
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse/Midwife ontheactiveNMBI register

Confirmed annual registration with NMBI
Experience:

Minimum 2 years post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting

Relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:

Day of Surgery Admission (DOSA)
- Oncology
- Theatre

Endoscopy Suite

Special Observation Unit
-
Hospital Access Unit (MAU)

Medical Ward
-
Day Procedure Unit
-
Ophthalmology
-
Theatre (Main/Ophthalmology/Day Procedures)

Clinical and administrative capacity to fulfil the role

Experience with Electronic Health Records (desirable)
Role Purpose
The Registered General Nurse will provide safe, high-quality, patient-centred care for individuals undergoing medical or surgical interventions. The nurse will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering exceptional care in a dynamic and evolving healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure safe pre- and post-operative care from admission to discharge

Deliver patient-focused care in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams

Prepare and educate patients for procedures

Adhere to infection control best practices

Communicate clinical concerns effectively with CNMs/Consultants

Maintain professional standards in line with NMBI requirements

Stay informed on national and local quality standards (e.g. JCI, HIQA)
