Are you a dedicated Social Care Professional seeking a rewarding career in a children’s mainstream services? Join our clients passionate team in Co. Cavan, where they provide comprehensive care for children/young persons in a residential service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children.
  • Monitor and promote the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of each child.
  • Assist with daily routines, including meals, hygiene, and bedtime.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children.
  • Follow individual care plans for each child, considering their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Work closely with other staff members to ensure consistency in care.
  • Monitor and supervise children to ensure their safety and security.
  • Respond appropriately to any behavioural or emotional issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of each child's progress, development, and any incidents.
  • Document daily activities, observations, and notable events.

It's important to note that social care workers may also have specific responsibilities related to the unique needs of the children in their care, and the above list is a general overview. The duties should align with the principles of child welfare, protection, and development.

Requirements:

  • Minimum QQI level 7 degree in Social Care or related field.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Experience working in children’s mainstream residential.
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland
