My client, a reputable and long-established main contractor with a strong presence in Cork and nationwide, is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support the delivery of high-quality construction projects in the region.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a driven engineer to take ownership on site, work closely with a dedicated project team, and contribute to the successful delivery of commercial and residential developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set out works according to project drawings, specifications, and engineering standards

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising daily site engineering activities

  • Work closely with the Project Manager and wider site team to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery

  • Conduct site surveys, maintain as-built records, and prepare accurate site reports

  • Interpret technical drawings, manage materials, and ensure works align with project design requirements

  • Liaise with subcontractors, design teams, and client representatives to ensure smooth communication and progress

  • Monitor site works to ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety regulations and quality standards

  • Maintain accurate documentation, records, and ensure compliance with company procedures

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline

  • Minimum 2–3 years’ site-based engineering experience (main contractor experience advantageous)

  • Proficient in setting out, surveying, and interpreting technical drawings

  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies and Irish Health & Safety regulations

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong IT proficiency (MS Office, CAD, survey equipment)

  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work to programme deadlines

  • Full clean driving licence essential
