About the Role
Our client, a leading and long-established main contractor in Ireland, is seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join their team for an exciting new project commencing in Clonmel. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious engineer to progress their career on a technically challenging and rewarding construction project.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the project is delivered to the highest standards of accuracy, quality, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Set out, level, and survey across all stages of the build.
- Check drawings, plans, and quantities for accuracy and compliance.
- Interpret design documents and liaise with consultants, architects, and engineers.
- Coordinate activities with subcontractors, planners, and site management.
- Attend site and progress meetings to report on technical and operational progress.
- Manage site logistics to support efficient project delivery.
- Identify and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Implement and maintain quality control and health & safety standards.
- Prepare daily site reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 year's experience in a similar Setting Out or Site Engineer role.
- A degree in Engineering or Construction Management(or equivalent).
- Proficiency in Total Station, GPS, and AutoCAD.
- Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office(including Project and PowerPoint).
