Glencar continues to expand its Irish operations and is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team.
Duties & Responsibilities

Achieve project, financial, and procedural targets.

Foster teamwork and uphold company values.
-
Maintain strong client, consultant, and supply chain relationships.
-
Manage budgets, cash flow, valuations, payments, and CVRs accurately.
-
Procure and administer subcontracts in line with contract requirements.
-
Identify risks/disputes early and resolve accounts promptly.
-
Control costs, manage variations, and drive value-engineering solutions.
-
Ensure contract compliance and issue correct contractual notices.
-
Lead, train, and develop junior surveying staff.
Essential
-
Quantity Surveying degree (or equivalent).
-
Senior management experience + driving licence.
Proven Experience
-
Main contractor senior commercial experience (8+ years).
-
Strong cost control, financial management, and cash-flow skills.
-
Solid knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts and construction legislation.
-
Proficient in MS Office/project software; manages multiple projects well.
-
Experience across various build types (e.g., concrete/steel frames).

Strong leadership, organisation, communication, and negotiation abilities.
