Senior Occupational Therapist – Paediatrics (Kildare Town & Naas)
Role Overview - Salary slightly above HSE payscale.
We are currently recruiting for two Senior Occupational Therapist positions within paediatric clinics based in Kildare Town and Naas. These roles offer the opportunity to provide high-quality assessments and interventions for children with developmental needs, working as part of supportive multidisciplinary teams (MDTs).
Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for children and young people with a variety of developmental needs.

Deliver individual and group interventions to support daily living skills, sensory processing, play, and participation in everyday activities.

Collaborate with MDT colleagues to develop and implement family-centred care plans.

Provide clinical supervision and guidance to staff grade OTs and students where appropriate.

Maintain accurate records and contribute to service planning and quality improvement.

Ensure practice reflects national guidelines, professional standards, and best practice approaches.
Requirements

CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist (essential).

Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, with strong experience in paediatrics.

Knowledge of child development, sensory processing, and family-centred practice.

Experience working effectively within an MDT.

Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
-
Postgraduate training in specialist areas such as Sensory Integration, Feeding/Mealtime Management, or Assistive Technology.

Experience in supervision of junior staff or students.

Familiarity with the Progressing Disability Services (PDS) model.
