Senior Manager

(Key Accounts, Operations & Health & Safety)

We’re seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Manager to lead our Cork branch and drive performance across key client accounts. This pivotal role combines strategic Key Account Management with operational leadership and Health & Safety oversight — ensuring income growth, compliance, and a culture of safety and customer excellence. You’ll spend most your time (70% Field / 30% Branch Oversight) in the field engaging key customers and developing business opportunities, while also ensuring the Cork branch operates safely, efficiently, and to the highest company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue & Growth: Drive income generation and ensure the branch meets or exceeds all revenue targets.
  • Client Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with key customers through regular site visits, ensuring customer satisfaction and business development.
  • Health & Safety Leadership: Act as the branch’s lead advocate for Health & Safety — ensuring all processes, equipment, and behaviours align with company and legislative standards.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain high standards in testing, stock management, compliance, and brand presentation.
  • Team Development: Lead, coach, and motivate branch colleagues to achieve sales, safety, and operational goals.
  • Performance & Compliance: Ensure all systems, audits, and quality standards are consistently met and that the branch adheres to company policies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote teamwork, efficiency, and a customer-first mindset across all operations.

Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • Proven senior management experience within a fast-paced, customer-facing industry (preferably construction, hire, or building materials).
  • Strong sales and key account management background with a history of achieving revenue growth.
  • Excellent financial acumen and experience managing budgets and branch costs.
  • Effective people leadership skills — rota planning, training, and performance management.
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building abilities.
