Are you a commercially focused Senior Financial Accountant ready to take ownership of a dynamic finance function within a global construction group? About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will lead the accounting function and collaborate closely with senior management across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare quarterly management accounts and annual statutory financial statements
- Ensure accurate internal and external reporting at statutory level across the jurisdictions
- Manage intercompany transactions and foreign audits
- Oversee monthly payroll processes across Ireland, and review foreign subsidies payroll for external providers
- Ensure VAT, RCT/CIS, VIES, and payroll compliance across all entities
- Collaborate with commercial teams to invoice construction contracts and track the work in progress values for the quarterly accounts
- Drive accounts receivable performance and client payment compliance
- Act as the primary contact for multiple stakeholders both internally & externally
- Support senior management with ad hoc requests
- Mentor and supervise a trainee accountant
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 7+ years post-qualification experience
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cloud-based accounting systems
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management abilities
