I am looking for a driven and technically strong Senior Automation Engineer
to join my client.
This is an exciting opportunity to design and implement high-quality, client-focused SCADA and instrumentation solutions using leading platforms like Ignition, Wonderware, and Siemens WinCC.
What You'll Be Doing

Designing and deploying SCADA and automation solutions tailored to client needs

Leading projects and supporting Junior Engineers through development and delivery

Collaborating with clients during all phases—design, implementation, and support

Developing intuitive front-end interfaces and scalable back-end systems

Maintaining detailed documentation, design specifications, and licensing records

Standardising development processes and mentoring team members

Ensuring consistency, reliability, and quality across all project deliverables
What You Bring

A degree in Electrical, Automation, or Computer Engineering

5+ years of hands-on experience with SCADA & PLC systems (Ignition, Siemens, Wonderware, etc.)

Strong grasp of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC, TCP/IP)

Experience with Microsoft SQL, VB, and cloud platforms like Azure or AWS
-
Understanding of cybersecurity principles and remote access tools

Excellent problem-solving, design, and documentation skills

Strong communication and customer-facing abilities
-
Full UK driving license
