Senior Automation Engineer (Ansible Expert) : Munster

I am working with a leading Multinational in their search for a Senior Automation Engineer who will champion automation throughout the organisation, and be a Subject Matter Expert in all things Ansible v2.10 and above.

The Senior Automation Engineer will play a pivotal role in driving automation excellence, with a strong focus on Ansible, DevOps practices, and scalable infrastructure solutions.

  • 7+ years driving infrastructure automation and DevOps transformation across complex global environments
  • Proven track record in senior leadership (VP or equivalent) within large multinational organizations
  • Degree in Computer Science/Engineering; Master’s preferred#
  • Ansible 2.10+ Subject Matter Expert
  • Strategic oversight of enterprise-scale Ansible initiatives, including automation frameworks and governance
  • Broad understanding of major cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Executive-level familiarity with modern container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Strong command of security, compliance, and access-control best practices within automated environments
