On behalf of our client, a well-established company in the construction sector, I am recruiting a Senior Administrator for their Cork office. This is a full-time, permanent position with excellent opportunities to progress.
This position would suit a a strong or senior administrator who enjoys working with high volumes of data, managing documentation, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders — with the opportunity to develop further in the role.
Key Responsibilities

Support the purchasing process by raising purchase orders and managing requisitions within the purchasing system.

Assist in sourcing and purchasing construction materials, tools, and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.

Send enquiries to suppliers, track quotations, and support negotiations on pricing and terms.

Maintain supplier records, manage contracts, and ensure documentation is accurate and compliant.

Monitor procurement costs, track expenses, and support reporting on cost-saving opportunities.

Coordinate timely deliveries and maintain on-site inventory to avoid project delays.

Liaise closely with site teams and project managers to ensure material needs align with schedules.

Ensure all administration and procurement activities comply with regulations and sustainability goals.
The Ideal Candidate

3–5 years’ experience in administration

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage high volumes of data, documentation, and orders.

Advanced MS Excel and solid proficiency across Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across teams and with suppliers.

A proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in construction, engineering, or industrial sectors would be an advantage, though not essential.
