Overview
A leading professional services firm is seeking an experienced and motivated qualified accountant to join their Insurance Finance team within a specialist Financial Accounting & Advisory Services (FAAS) department.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work with major insurance clients, providing both outsourced finance support and advisory services across compliance, reporting, and process improvement projects.
You’ll collaborate with international teams, contribute to large-scale transformation initiatives, and develop deep expertise in the insurance sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage financial reporting and compliance projects for multinational insurance clients
- Support internal finance and operational teams on monthly and year-end processes
- Provide technical accounting advice under IFRS, Irish, and UK GAAP
- Contribute to finance transformation projects, including process optimisation and automation
- Build and maintain relationships with senior finance stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to enhance service offerings and contribute to business growth
- Mentor and coach junior team members
- Ensure quality and timely delivery of all client work
Experience & Requirements
- Qualified Accountant(ACA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent)
- 5+ years’ accounting or audit experience, ideally in the insurance industry
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, Irish or UK GAAP, and company law
- Proven experience in financial statement preparation or audit
- Familiarity with multinational or shared service environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with IFRS 17 and regulatory reporting(CBI, BMA) an advantage
- Ability to manage multiple client relationships and deliver to deadlines
