FRS Recruitment are now inviting applications for the role of for Ruminant Business Manager for the Munster region on behalf of a global animal nutrition business. Indeed, this is a B2B role. Given to an impending retirement this position has now become available, and you will inherit an existing territory and established customer base.

We are seeking an experienced and driven Ruminant Business Manager to lead and grow our client's commercial presence in the Munster region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal nutrition, (feed animal and premix is desirable) ruminant health, and/or agri-sales, and will be responsible for driving growth, managing key accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regional Sales Management: Lead the commercial strategy and execution of sales plans for the Munster region, focusing on ruminant feed, nutrition solutions.
  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, develop regional marketing initiatives, and expand the customer base across co-ops, merchants, and agribusiness.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and regional challenges; provide strategic insights to senior leadership.
  • Budgeting & Reporting: Develop regional budgets, sales forecasts, and contribute to strategic planning and monthly reporting processes.

Key Requirements

  • Education: Degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Agri-Business, or related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years in a commercial agri role, with demonstrable experience in ruminant sales or animal nutrition.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Irish dairy and beef sectors, farm systems, and feed/nutrition practices.
  • Skills:
    • Strong commercial acumen with proven sales and negotiation abilities.
    • Ability to interpret technical data and translate it into practical solutions.
    • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
  • Other: Full clean driving licence; flexibility to travel within the Munster region.
