A leading civil and infrastructure contractor is seeking a Civil Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team and support major infrastructure projects across the Midwest and South of Ireland.
The Role
The Civil Quantity Surveyor will assist in the commercial administration of multiple projects, including:
- Wastewater Treatment Plant redevelopments (civil scope)
- Substation construction packages
- Grid-route and civil works on solar/wind farm developments
This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in civils or utilities who wants to further advance their commercial and technical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing project costs, budgets, valuations, and financial reporting.
- Support with preparation of bills of quantities, take-offs, and tender documentation.
- Work closely with project teams to track progress, variations, and contractual changes.
- Maintain detailed commercial records and assist with subcontractor payments and agreements.
- Liaise with clients, engineers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Ensure financial and contractual compliance across all assigned projects.
Requirements
- At least 2 years’ experience as a QS within civils, utilities, infrastructure, or construction.
- Experience in water, wastewater, energy, or renewables sectors is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and reporting skills.
- Ability to read drawings, understand specifications, and support site-based teams.
- Full driving licence (company van provided).
