My client, a leading manufacturer in the building products sector, is seeking a Quality Technician to join their expanding operations team in the Limerick region. This is a permanent, full-time role based on the production floor with direct influence on product performance, defect reduction and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a strong Quality presence across all manufacturing processes
- Inspect raw materials, in process components, and final products
- Monitor compliance with standards and escalate issues immediately
- Lead hands on fault finding and root cause investigations
- Implement corrective and preventive actions with supervisors
- Develop clear inspection criteria for each production stage
- Record inspection data and produce meaningful quality reports
- Analyse customer complaint trends and link issues to processes
- Support continuous improvement and promote right first-time practices
Skills and Qualifications
- NFQ Level 5 in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Lean Practices, or equivalent experience
- Background in a production environment, ideally building products or composites
- Strong problem-solving capability with attention to detail
- Effective communicator able to influence operational teams
- Experience with lean tools is an advantage
- Confident working independently in a fast-paced environment
