Quality Engineering Manager – Manufacturing

Are you an experienced Quality professional with a passion for driving excellence in manufacturing? We are seeking a Quality Engineering Manager to join a fast-paced production environment.

This is a senior position reporting directly to the Plant Manager, with responsibility for leading the Quality function and managing a small team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, driving continuous improvement, and delivering outstanding product quality.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Quality team, including Quality Assistant & Returns Technician.

  • Maintain, improve, and develop the Quality Management System (QMS).

  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions on customer complaints.

  • Champion product and process quality improvements across the site.

  • Manage internal audits and drive external audits with customers and notified bodies.

  • Conduct inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products.

  • Deliver detailed reports on quality performance and compliance.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to embed quality throughout all processes.

  • Support training and development in quality standards across the site.


About You

  • Degree (Level 8 or equivalent) in Engineering or a related technical field.

  • At least 3 years in a senior Quality role within manufacturing.

  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards, especially ISO9001:2015, ISO17025, ISO14001, and ATEX certification requirements.

  • Proven experience in leading audits and engaging with notified bodies.

  • Proficiency in quality control systems, data analysis, and inspection processes.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Lean Six Sigma and Lead Auditor certifications (preferred).

  • Proactive, results-driven mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
