My client, based in Kilkenny, wishes to recruit a motivated and energetic Purchasing and Logistics Manager who is wishing to expand their professional development. This is an exciting opportunity within a growing business operating in the Energy and Renewables Market.

This role will suit an experienced logistics and procurement professional looking to take their career to the next level. The Procurement and Logistics Manager will lead the supply chain operations — from sourcing and purchasing to distribution, fleet, and facilities management.

In this dynamic role, The Procurement and Logistics Manager will work with internal teams and external partners to ensure operations run efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute logistics and procurement strategies to drive operational efficiency and cost savings.
  • Oversee daily logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
  • Lead procurement processes, including supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and sourcing opportunities.
  • Manage the company fleet (vehicles, equipment, machinery) and ensure optimal use and maintenance.
  • Supervise and support the logistics team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and legal standards.
  • Maintain and manage company installations, including offices, warehouses, and staff housing.
  • Use data and technology to monitor performance and identify improvement areas.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in procurement, logistics, or warehouse management.
  • Proven track record in managing teams and logistics operations.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in fleet and procurement management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A detail-oriented problem-solver with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
