Sessional Psychologist vacancy
FRS are seeking sessional psychology at the Senior Psychology (doctorate) level for a maximum of 9 days (7 hrs per day) per week from the 5 th of January to the 27 th of March 2026. Location bases are Dublin and Kildare.
The psychologist(s) need to have experience in Intellectual Disability population (Mild, Moderate, Severe and Profound levels) with dual diagnosis (neurodiversity, mental health conditions, epilepsy, CP, dementia etc) and systems supports (staff and family teams) in terms of completing:
- Positive Behaviour Support (assessment -functional assessment, analysis of ABC’s etc., development of behavioural interventions and report writing; implementation of recommendations with teams and families and review of recommendations).
- Dementia Assessment (experience in a variety of direct and indirect dementia assessment tools for the above population group) and interventions approaches and management (BPSD)
- Therapeutic interventions for above population group in relation to a variety of mental health difficulties, mood disorders, OCD, PTSD, complex trauma, ADHD etc
- Require excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with experience working with front line staff teams, families and MDT
