Overview:

Our client, is seeking an experienced Property Solicitor to join a dynamic legal team on a full-time temporary contract. This role focuses on supporting a broad range of property transactions and legal matters related to land, title, and commercial agreements. It's an excellent opportunity for a proactive solicitor with a strong background in conveyancing and rural property law, who enjoys working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Property & Title Work

  • Manage the legal aspects of property purchases, sales, and associated transactions.

  • Draft contracts, transfers, rights of way, wayleaves, licences, and deeds.

  • Conduct title due diligence and manage applications for property registration.

  • Prepare and submit first registration applications and address complex title issues.

  • Advise on boundary disputes, rights of way, and other land-related legal matters.

  • Work closely with title researchers to ensure accurate and up-to-date property records.

Legal Advice & Commercial Support

  • Draft and review commercial agreements and provide legal support during negotiations.

  • Advise on legal matters relating to property acquisitions.

  • Provide timely and practical legal guidance to internal teams.

  • Coordinate with external legal advisors when necessary.

Governance & Compliance

  • Support best practice in legal risk management and compliance.

  • Ensure alignment with internal governance standards and legal frameworks.


Skills & Experience Required:

  • Qualified Solicitor with 2+ years of post-qualification experience.

  • Strong expertise in property law and conveyancing, particularly rural/agricultural property.

  • Excellent drafting and transaction management skills.

  • Ability to manage a high volume of legal work independently.

  • Comfortable working with maps and land documentation.

  • Proficient in legal case management systems and standard office ICT tools.

  • Experience with broader commercial legal matters is a plus.
