Project Manager (Environmental) – Renewable Energy

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager (Environmental) to join our client in Kildare. This role offers a unique chance to work on the cutting edge of sustainable infrastructure, contributing to the development of Strategic Infrastructure Development (SID) and non-SID renewable energy projects across Ireland.
About the Role
As Project Manager (Environmental), you will support the delivery of planning applications and manage associated environmental and technical assessments. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring all planning-related activities are executed efficiently, in line with regulatory frameworks, project timelines, and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Support Senior Project Managers and Project Directors in the planning and environmental assessment processes for renewable energy projects.

Co-ordinate environmental documentation including EIA and AA Screenings, EIARs, and Natura Impact Statements.

Manage baseline environmental studies and facilitate collaboration between project team members.

Monitor and review planning/environmental policy developments, contributing to company submissions as needed.

Assist in the development and delivery of community consultation plans with Communications and Engagement teams.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and internal policies.

Actively contribute to the performance management and continuous improvement of the team.
About You
We are seeking an environmentally conscious, proactive, and detail-oriented professional with:

A Level 8 Honours Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.

A Postgraduate qualification (Level 9) in a relevant field is desirable.

At least 3 years of experience in planning applications and environmental assessment processes.

Strong knowledge of the Environmental Impact Assessment process and Irish planning legislation.

Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and coordinating environmental documentation.

Familiarity with Strategic Infrastructure Development (SID) projects and renewable energy infrastructure.

Technical expertise in a relevant environmental discipline (e.g., ecology, air quality, noise).
