Production Team Leader – Food Manufacturing

We’re hiring a Production Team Leader to join a fast-paced, proudly Irish food manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role overseeing packing, cleaning, and beetroot processing operations, while driving quality, efficiency, and teamwork. This production team lead job is a new job to increase the management structure. This is a days only Monday to Friday job, with some flex required occasionally to complete production in season.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise daily packing and cleaning operations on the production floor

Ensure correct labelling, packing, and quality standards are met

Lead and support the team – grading, sorting, machine ops

Input work order data accurately into IT systems

Plan rotas and ensure team coverage in line with production demands

Promote food safety, quality, recycling, and sustainability initiatives

Support and train operators, encouraging continuous development

Operate electric pallet trucks and forklifts (training provided)

Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment
What We’re Looking For:

Minimum 1 year’s supervisory or team lead experience in manufacturing (food industry preferred)

Strong communication and leadership skills

Understanding of Food Safety Management Systems (BRC, Safe & Legal)

Willingness to work flexible hours depending on production needs
