My client, a leading Materials Manufacturing Company, is in need of a Procurement Coordinator to join their busy and growing site based in Fermoy, Co. Cork.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Procurement Coordinator to join a leading organization and utilize their Purchasing and Inventory Management skills and progress their career.
The responsibilities for the Procurement Coordinator include but are not limited to:
- Procure mechanical, electrical and consumables goods.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with Suppliers in the negotiations of prices for products and ordering and timely delivery of stock.
- Create and process purchase orders on Company ERP system
- Liaise with maintenance and production team in ordering of goods.
- Monitor delivery of goods and services, ensuring that delivery documentation is checked against original order placed, and where there are discrepancies or exceptions to the original order take necessary action.
- Maintain an effective administration system for storing and accessing information within the stores’ inventory.
- Carry out general stores upkeep.
- Perform Cycle counts
- Manage Purchasing with a defined budget escalating deviations.
- Comply with Health & Safety Rules, Regulations.
The requirements for the desired Procurement Coordinator include:
- Previous experience in a Procurement role, 1-2 years experience minimum
- Previous experience in an industrial manufacturing environment desired
- Good communication skills. An ability to communicate effectively with all plant staff and senior management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- High level of problem-solving skills and technical awareness.
- Previous ERP system skills
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Self-motivated and possess the ability to work on your own initiative.
