FRS Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Procurement Administrator on behalf of a progressive animal health business North of Cork City. This is a full-time permanent, office based role, with flexibility of a 4 day working week.
Celebrating over 30 years in business our client has become synonymous in providing innovative solutions to the animal health industry across both national and international markets.

Role Summary:
Supporting the procurement function by managing purchasing processes, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. A key part of the role involves working closely with the operations team to ensure the timely delivery of stock and materials to meet production and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Process and manage purchase orders and requisitions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain up-to-date procurement records and documentation.
• Liaise with suppliers to confirm order details, delivery timelines, and resolve any issues.
• Collaborate with operations and warehouse teams to ensure the timely delivery of stock and materials.
• Monitor inventory levels and support forecasting of procurement needs.
• Assist in tendering processes and supplier evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and external regulations.
• Support contract management and renewal tracking.
• Prepare procurement reports and assist with audits.
• Contribute to process improvements and procurement efficiency initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Understanding of supply chain processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments, especially with operations and logistics.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in [industry-specific context, e.g., pharmaceuticals, manufacturing].
• Experience managing supplier relationships internationally.
• Familiarity with ERP or procurement software systems
• EU passport
• EU driving licence
• Fluent in English
