Job Opportunity: Permanent full time PIC/ Social Care management – Disability Respite Service

Location: Co. Kildare

Salary: €65K

Are you a dedicated Social Care Manager? Have you been a PIC or Service Manager before? Are you seeking a rewarding career in a disability services? Join our passionate team in Co. Kildare, where we provide comprehensive, tailored care for individuals in a disability respite service.

In your new role you will:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the residential service.
  • Manage staff rotas, performance, and professional development.
  • Lead by example in promoting dignity, respect, and person-centred care.
  • Ensure care plans are up to date, accurate, and person-centred.
  • Monitor the physical, emotional, and social well-being of residents.
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents promptly.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Keep accurate records and report to regulatory bodies as required.
  • Provide guidance, supervision, and ongoing training for staff.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative working environment.
  • Address staff concerns or grievances professionally.
  • Liaise with residents, families, healthbcare professionals, and inspectors.

To be a successful candidate you will have:

  • Recognised Level 8 qualification in health or social care
  • Level 6 in Management.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role in Respite setting.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and care standards (HIQA, safeguarding policies).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
