FRS Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading provider of intellectual disability services in Ireland to recruit an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) – Intellectual Disability (Behaviour Support) for a permanent, full-time position based in Limerick.
This is a unique and highly specialised opportunity for an experienced nurse leader to join an innovative, person-centred service supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and complex behavioural needs. This role offers the chance to make a tangible and lasting impact on the lives of service users and their families, while working within a progressive, multidisciplinary team environment.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will provide advanced clinical expertise in the area of behaviour support, working collaboratively with teams, families, and external partners to deliver high-quality, evidence-based interventions. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping behaviour support strategies and driving best practice within the organisation.
Candidate Requirements:

Registered Nurse Intellectual Disability (RNID) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) or eligible for registration.

Registered in the Advanced Nurse Practitioner division of the NMBI Register.

Confirmation of Annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC) in line with NMBI standards.

Significant clinical experience relevant to Autism and Behaviour Support within Intellectual Disability services.

Proven clinical, professional, and administrative competence suitable for the demands of this senior role.

In-depth knowledge of current legislation and frameworks, including:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively across teams and with families.
