Registered Nurse – Mobile Clinic (Part-Time, Fixed-Term) | Tuam

Location: Tuam, Co. Galway (with travel throughout the West of Ireland)

A leading healthcare organisation is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join its mobile clinic team serving communities across the West of Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse to work in a supportive, nurse-led environment, providing essential donor care and clinical services in line with national healthcare and safety standards.

This role is perfect for a Registered Nurse who wants to make a meaningful contribution to public health while enjoying the flexibility of part-time hours.


Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out donor screening, eligibility assessments, and venepuncture

  • Monitor donor wellbeing during and post-donation, responding to adverse events as needed

  • Ensure all clinical activities adhere to internal SOPs and external legislative standards

  • Record incidents and complaints accurately and promptly

  • Participate in audits and contribute to staff training and development

  • Provide cover across other clinics in the region as required

  • Act as Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) nominee when necessary


Requirements

Essential:

  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) – any division

  • At least 2 years post-registration experience

  • Experience managing staff in a clinical setting

  • Evidence of ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Competence in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and clinical information systems

Desirable:

  • Full, clean driving licence
