Operations Manager
About the Role
My client is one of Ireland’s leading civil engineering and infrastructure specialists. They deliver projects across roads, utilities, groundworks, commercial and residential developments — always with a focus on safety, quality, and building lasting relationships.
As the company grows, they’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join the senior leadership team. This is a chance to play a key role in shaping operations and driving performance across Ireland.
What You’ll Do

Lead delivery of projects nationwide — on time, on budget, to the highest standards

Oversee project managers, site teams, and engineers

Ensure compliance with all Irish health, safety, and quality standards

Manage resources, supply chains, and subcontractors

Collaborate on tenders, contracts (NEC & Public Works), and client negotiations
-
Build strong client and stakeholder relationships
-
Drive continuous improvement, efficiency, and sustainability
-
Report directly to the Managing Director and Board
What We’re Looking For

Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar

Chartered Engineer status (preferred)

10+ years’ experience in civil engineering/construction, with 5+ years in a senior operations role

Proven track record in delivering major infrastructure/civil projects in Ireland

Strong leadership skills — able to manage and inspire multidisciplinary teams

Excellent knowledge of contracts, regulations, and local authority requirements

Commercial awareness, with experience in budgets and programmes

Committed to the highest standards of health, safety, and environment
