Are you a passionate and skilled Medical Scientist ready to take the next step in your career? Our client, a leading hospital in Dublin, is seeking a dedicated Medical Scientist to support and co-ordinate laboratory services, with a particular focus on Haematology and Blood Transfusion.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team in a hospital committed to excellence, patient care, and continuous improvement delivering high-quality diagnostic services aligned with INAB and JCI accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and authorise laboratory tests, particularly in Haematology and Blood Transfusion
  • Maintain and implement SOPs, quality management systems, and accreditation standards
  • Support training, operational procedures, and laboratory IT systems
  • Participate in on-call rotas and contribute to service delivery improvements

Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree in Biomedical Science (or equivalent)
  • CORU Registration (essential)
  • Minimum 1 year’s multidisciplinary lab experience
  • Blood Transfusion experience (essential)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong commitment to quality, safety, and team collaboration

Desirable:

  • Post-qualification experience
  • Familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems and health service operations
