Maintenance Technician- West Cork
What You’ll Do:
- Develop & manage a preventative maintenance program to keep downtime to a minimum
- Inspect, troubleshoot & repair equipment, from packaging lines to refrigeration units
- Keep detailed records of maintenance, inspections & repairs
- Work with external providers for specialised repairs & installations
- Oversee contractors to ensure quality, safety & efficiency
- Manage spare parts, tools & resources to keep operations running smoothly
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining top reliability
- Ensure all maintenance meets safety & food production standards
- Support the production team with technical guidance & troubleshooting
- Respond swiftly to emergency maintenance to keep things moving
What You'll Bring:
- Relevant experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical & refrigeration systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to coordinate external contractors & manage repairs
- Solid IT skills (MS Office & maintenance management systems)
- Understanding of safety & compliance standards in food production
- A flexible, proactive, and results-driven mindset
