We are seeking a highly motivated Management Accountant to join our client – a leader in Europe within the FMCG Industry. This is a key role that combines management and financial reporting with a strong focus on systems development and process improvement. You will play a pivotal part in delivering accurate weekly and monthly accounts, driving cost control, and enhancing finance systems to support business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and report weekly accounts for specific cost/revenue centres, providing insights to drive business performance.
- Deliver monthly management and financial accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations.
- Partner with Operations on product yields, stock valuations, and labour cost analysis.
- Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting and rolling forecasts, ensuring alignment with weekly/monthly reporting.
- Lead finance systems development:
- Enhance ERP functionality across finance modules.
- Implement and test new systems and reporting tools using BI software.
- Automate processes and improve integration between Finance, Supply Chain, and Warehouse.
- Identify and deliver process efficiencies and internal controls.
- Manage finance-related projects, including planning, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
- Collaborate with IT and technology teams to develop and improve solutions.
- Support formal project and change management initiatives.
- Undertake ad hoc financial projects as required.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA Qualified Accountant
- Skills & Attributes:
- Strong financial and management accounting expertise.
- Advanced Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent project management skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality outputs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate across departments.
- Self-starter with attention to detail and accuracy.
