A well-established and respected player in the Irish agricultural sector is seeking a talented Management Accountant to join its leadership team. With over five decades of industry experience and a strong nationwide presence, this company continues to grow and innovate in the distribution of agricultural machinery and equipment.

Role Overview
This is a pivotal role within the organisation, reporting directly to the Managing Director. The successful candidate will lead the Finance and Accounts team, delivering timely and accurate financial insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present monthly management accounts and financial reports
  • Manage month-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Monitor cashflow and support budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Ensure compliance with VAT, PAYE, and other statutory obligations
  • Oversee payroll processing and bank payment authorisations
  • Lead the external audit process and year-end financial statement preparation
  • Oversee Accounts Payable, Receivable, and debt collection functions
  • Supervise foreign exchange transactions and intercompany reconciliations
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial systems and controls
  • Provide financial input to wider business initiatives
  • Lead and support the Finance team


Qualifications & Experience

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or CPA)
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a management accounting or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, and statutory compliance
  • Experience managing audits and preparing statutory returns
