Our client, a leading food production company in Kildare, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with a strong electrical focus to join their facility. This is a hands-on role working on high-speed production machinery, PLC-controlled equipment, and supporting facilities such as compressed air, refrigeration, and utility systems.
Key Responsibilities

Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on production equipment.

Wiring installation, commissioning, and PLC diagnostics.

Planned and reactive maintenance to maximise machinery uptime.

Support new equipment installations and modifications.

Assist with safety compliance, risk assessments, and contractor management.

Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.
Requirements

A relevant third level qualification in Engineering or time-served Electrician or Fitter (Electrical/ Mechanical Qualification/ Mechanical Experience).

Minimum 3 years in a maintenance role within food production or FMCG.

Strong PLC, electrical control, and industrial troubleshooting skills.

Knowledge of Health & Safety and GMP standards.

Team player with good communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
