A skilled Maintenance Technician is required to support manufacturing operations by ensuring maximum uptime of process equipment through effective preventative and reactive maintenance. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role is critical in delivering safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Execute planned preventative maintenance and provide effective reactive/breakdown support.

  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement corrective actions.

  • Use the maintenance system for reporting and apply TPM techniques.

  • Diagnose and resolve pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical breakdowns.

  • Carry out project-based installation, commissioning, and shutdown activities.

  • Ensure compliance with lock-out/tag-out and all site safety procedures.


Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter/Technician.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

  • Ability to read engineering drawings.

  • Experience with servicing/replacement of gearbox and drive systems.

  • General fabrication skills and basic electrical knowledge.

  • Familiarity with maintenance scheduling, planning, and safety procedures.

  • A team-focused attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement.


What’s Required

  • Qualification in a mechanical discipline (or equivalent trade experience).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

  • Located in Ireland with full rights to work.
