Facilities Maintenance Technician
Are you a hands-on Maintenance Technician looking to make a real impact?
We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading facility seeking a proactive and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the smooth and safe running of its operations.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you’ll play a key role in maintaining site facilities and production equipment. From preventative maintenance to troubleshooting and continuous improvement, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring optimal equipment performance across the plant.
Key Responsibilities;
Operational Support

Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on plant equipment and site facilities

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults

Carry out general maintenance: plumbing, painting, tiling, carpentry, basic building works

Support production line start-ups and liaise with vendors during installations and upgrades

Assist in documentation, maintenance records, and standard operating procedures

Mentor production staff in first-level maintenance and safety best practices
Coordination & Improvement

Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to improve uptime and OEE
-
Support maintenance scheduling and maintain service logs for audit compliance
-
Liaise with suppliers and contractors to deliver work to standard and on time
-
Work with procurement to implement a robust spares system and reduce lead-time downtime
-
Contribute to lean and 5S initiatives across the site
What We’re Looking For;
Essential
-
3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or process-driven environment
-
Strong multi-trade skills across electrical, mechanical, and general building maintenance
-
Familiar with maintenance scheduling and documentation practices
-
Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
-
Confident with digital or paper-based maintenance systems
Desirable
-
Experience supporting spares management systems
-
Familiarity with SOP creation and equipment documentation

Forklift or material handling certification
-
Experience training or mentoring operators
🎓 Qualifications
-
Certification in mechanical and/or electrical engineering
-
Health & Safety certifications (e.g. Safe Pass, Manual Handling)

Forklift license/training (advantageous)
