Maintenance Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations across fleet, plant, and facilities. This position is key to ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all equipment supporting quarry operations and road surfacing projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and servicing of HGVs, construction plant, and site equipment.

• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.

• Lead and supervise a team of fitters, mechanics, and support staff.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

• Manage budgets, procurement of parts, and relationships with contractors.

• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and service history.

• Coordinate emergency repairs and ensure rapid response to breakdowns.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a maintenance management role, ideally within quarry, construction, or civil engineering.

• Strong technical knowledge of HGVs, plant machinery, and workshop operations.

• Excellent leadership and team management skills.

• Proficiency in maintenance planning and asset management systems.

• Full clean driving licence (HGV licence desirable).

• Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering, plant maintenance, or related fields.
