Logistics Specialist – Engineering Stores (Fermoy, Cork)

Salary:
€35,000 - €45,000, depending on experience
An established multinational is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support its Engineering Stores operation in Fermoy. This is not a standard stores role - it requires a high level of technical understanding of MRO parts, obsolescence management, and vendor engagement.
Key Responsibilities:

Review and manage reports on obsolete and at-risk MRO parts

Liaise with OEM and OCM suppliers to source parts or identify alternatives

Build and maintain a register of obsolete parts and provide sourcing options

Support engineering teams by supplying specification packs and quotations

Assist in risk assessments and potential stockpiling decisions

Maintain up-to-date documentation and systems data
What We’re Looking For:
-
4+ years' experience in a similar inventory or engineering stores role

Strong knowledge of MRO parts and their function
-
Experience working within a cGMP environment

Familiarity with systems such as SAP, Ariba, or Maximo
-
Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills
-
Ability to interpret part specs and handle technical engineering queries
Desirable:

Background in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing sectors
