IT Field Engineer - Tipperary, Waterford, Kilkenny
I am working with a highly engaged Technical Director as he looks to fill this urgent and critical role for a IT Field Engineer within the professional service team.
Key Duties

Plan, install, and configure IT infrastructure (servers, storage, networking, cloud).

Deliver new IT solutions and projects to client specifications and standards.

Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure successful delivery.
-
Document installations, configurations, and project activities.
-
Provide on-site/remote support during deployments, troubleshooting issues.
-
Assist pre-sales with technical input for solution design and quotes.
-
Build strong client relationships throughout project lifecycles.
-
Share knowledge with internal teams and support handovers.
-
Ensure compliance with company, security, and H&S standards.
-
Complete assignments on time and report progress to stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
-
2+ years in network/server support and installations.
-
Knowledge of LAN/WAN, network services, and security.
-
Familiar with TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, RDP.
-
Windows Server, Active Directory, Hyper-V & VMware vSphere/ESXi experience.
-
Firewall experience (Fortinet or similar) desirable.

Exposure to wireless network implementation beneficial.
-
Strong Microsoft application skills and IT literacy.
-
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving ability.

Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
