IT Desktop Administrator - Blanchardstown

I am working with a leading SaaS multinational with an operational hub based in Blanchardstown, Dublin. They are looking for a Desktop Administrator to join their expanding support team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support our Active Directory and Microsoft 365 platform.
  • Install, configure, and support desktop systems in line with company standards.
  • Provide hands-on application support to staff and assist with IT-related queries.
  • Set up new user accounts, access permissions, and support onboarding processes.
  • Maintain antivirus, encryption, and system management tools.
  • Manage inventory of software and hardware assets.
  • Oversee patch management for operating systems.
  • Administer VOIP phone systems, mobile phones, and conferencing equipment.
  • Maintain shared office technology, including meeting room A/V setups.
  • Contribute to system reliability through preventative maintenance and process improvements.
  • Plan and document daily tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Support the development of junior staff and interns.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for internal knowledge sharing.
  • Identify and communicate IT training needs to the training team.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A relevant IT qualification.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with computer hardware support and endpoint protection.
  • Understanding of LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and enterprise connectivity.
  • Familiarity with VOIP and A/V equipment management.
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and a strong team player.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server OS.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange Online and Intune/Endpoint Manager.
  • Knowledge of macOS and Linux environments.
  • Experience with OS and application deployment systems.
