International Commodity Trader – Meat

Location: Naas, Co. Kildare

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and commercially driven International Commodity Trader – Meat & Protein to join a dynamic trading team in Naas. This role involves trading raw meat and meat products across all four species, in a variety of formats, with responsibility for delivering against ambitious revenue and margin targets.

You will play a central role in strengthening global customer relationships, maximising reach across multiple markets, and supporting the wider commercial strategy. This position offers extensive worldwide travel and the chance to develop within a fast-paced international environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver revenue and margin growth in line with agreed targets.

• Build, manage, and maintain strong, profitable relationships with customers worldwide.

• Implement efficient account planning, reporting, and forecasting.

• Align stock and production planning with customer requirements.

• Collaborate closely with procurement and cross-functional teams.

• Expand reach across diverse markets and sectors worldwide.

• Represent the business as a trusted supplier of high-quality protein products.

• Support and mentor new talent within the trading team.

• Undertake extensive worldwide travel to meet business and customer needs.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years’ proven sales or trading experience in the Food Sector

• A successful track record of achieving commercial targets.

• In-depth knowledge of the protein trading landscape.

• International trading experience with strong cultural awareness.

• Full driver’s license and valid passport; flexibility to travel globally.

• Strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical and planning skills.

• Outstanding communication skills – written, verbal, and interpersonal.

• Highly motivated, ambitious, and resilient, with strong organisational skills.

• A team player with the ability to build trust and long-lasting partnerships.
