I am currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established hotel in Midleton, Co. Cork, for an experienced Human Resources Executive. This is a full-time, permanent position, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility available for the right candidate.
The HR Executive will oversee the day-to-day HR function on-site and play a key role in supporting management across all areas of people management. This position reports to both the General Manager and the Group HR Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all daily administrative HR duties on-site
- Foster a culture of employee engagement and open communication
- Act as the point of contact for employee queries and issues
- Support Heads of Department with recruitment, training, and performance management
- Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee records (with a view to paperless)
- Ensure statutory training is scheduled and recorded
- Advise on employee relations issues and support disciplinary/grievance processes
- Submit accurate weekly payroll information
- Assist in implementing group-wide HR projects and initiatives
- Monitor absenteeism and support return-to-work processes
- Coordinate and track training needs across departments
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualification in Human Resources Management or currently pursuing one
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a HR role, ideally in a hospitality or service-based setting
- Strong working knowledge of Irish employment legislation
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and emotional intelligence
- Confident supporting managers and dealing with conflict or sensitive matters
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a busy environment
