I am currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established hotel in Midleton, Co. Cork, for an experienced Human Resources Executive. This is a full-time, permanent position, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility available for the right candidate.

The HR Executive will oversee the day-to-day HR function on-site and play a key role in supporting management across all areas of people management. This position reports to both the General Manager and the Group HR Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all daily administrative HR duties on-site
  • Foster a culture of employee engagement and open communication
  • Act as the point of contact for employee queries and issues
  • Support Heads of Department with recruitment, training, and performance management
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Maintain accurate and compliant employee records (with a view to paperless)
  • Ensure statutory training is scheduled and recorded
  • Advise on employee relations issues and support disciplinary/grievance processes
  • Submit accurate weekly payroll information
  • Assist in implementing group-wide HR projects and initiatives
  • Monitor absenteeism and support return-to-work processes
  • Coordinate and track training needs across departments

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualification in Human Resources Management or currently pursuing one
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a HR role, ideally in a hospitality or service-based setting
  • Strong working knowledge of Irish employment legislation
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and emotional intelligence
  • Confident supporting managers and dealing with conflict or sensitive matters
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a busy environment
