Our client, a leader in food production in the Kildare area, is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Lead to join their team. This is your chance to take charge of safety operations and lead a team in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead EHS Operations: Oversee the day-to-day EHS activities, ensuring a proactive approach to safety.
- Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify and address potential hazards.
- Accident Investigations: Investigate accidents and implement corrective actions.
- Safety Training & Compliance: Coordinate safety training and ensure regulatory compliance across the site.
- External Audits: Prepare for and support safety audits and inspections.
- Team Leadership: Manage and support a small team, fostering a safety-first culture.
What We Are Looking For:
- Level 8 qualification in Health & Safety or related field.
- Proven Health & Safety working experience in a manufacturing or high-risk environment.
- Proven team management experience with the ability to lead and drive results.
- Manual Handling Instructor, Train the Trainer, and Occupational First Aid certifications.
- Strong communication skills to engage with all levels of the organisation.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to take immediate ownership of safety initiatives.
