Are you a Health & Safety Specialist with manufacturing or food production experience, looking to take ownership of site safety with a leading West Cork employer?
The Company
A well-established Irish food producer(25+ years in operation) supplying major retailers including Aldi, Tesco, Dunnes & Musgrave. Quality, safety, and teamwork are central to their success.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you’ll lead Health & Safety on site, ensuring compliance, training, and a strong safety culture.
Key Duties:

Site lead for all H&S matters

Inspections, audits, and risk assessments

Maintain SOPs, safety documentation & risk register
-
Deliver inductions, toolbox talks & safety training
-
Investigate incidents and near misses
-
Contractor safety & Permit to Work systems
-
Fire safety, emergency planning & drills
About You
-
QQI Level 7 H&S (or equivalent experience)
-
Strong knowledge of Irish legislation
-
Manufacturing / food production background
-
Train-the-Trainer & PHECC First Aid
-
Confident, practical, hands-on approach
