We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Group Accountant to join our client's finance team. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the financial accounts of all subsidiary companies within the Group, ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and delivering accurate consolidated financial reporting and forecasting.

As Group Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity across the organisation, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring robust financial governance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, coordinate, and deliver year-end consolidated financial reports and group consolidated financial statements.
  • Develop and maintain technical accounting memos aligned with IFRS and evolving accounting standards.
  • Design and implement policies and procedures to enhance budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls.
  • Manage relationships with key external stakeholders including auditors, tax advisors, financial institutions, and legal teams.
  • Deliver quarterly financial planning and analysis reviews, providing insights and supporting board-level presentations.
  • Prepare quarterly management accounts includiong for Holding Companies, including AP, AR, Intercompany, VAT, and capital expenditure.
  • Review and authorise payments across group and affiliate offices to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and manage Group cashflows, including working capital projections, treasury operations, and FX transactions.
  • Collaborate with business leads to standardise and optimise financial reporting across the Group.
  • Support and guide indirect reports to meet Group reporting deadlines and enhance team performance.

What We’re Looking For

  • A qualified accountant with at least 7 years’ experience in accounting.
  • Consolidation experience is essential for this role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
  • A team player with the ability to work independently and cross-culturally.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive, organised, and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.
