Position Overview;
The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations at the new facility. Reporting to the Managing Director, this is a senior role requiring strong operations, engineering, and leadership skills. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving operational performance, supporting team development, and ensuring continued customer satisfaction. The goal is to boost profitability and ensure smooth and efficient company operations.
Key Responsibilities;

Oversee daily business operations, drive strategic initiatives and ensure overall business success

Develop and implement business strategies to support growth and business excellence

Lead the operations, engineering/quality, procurement, and administration functions

Manage the operations department to the highest standards to satisfy customer expectations and on-time delivery

Ensure optimum performance of HR, hiring, and training processes

Build relationships with key customers across diverse markets

Set objectives and improve systems and procedures

Collaborate with finance to manage budgets and design improvements to optimise financial performance and operational efficiency

Work closely with sales/account management teams to deliver total customer satisfaction

Build, develop, and lead a management team and staff capable of meeting organisational objectives

Take responsibility for health and safety standards across the organisation

Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for new business

Develop, promote, and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications and Experience;

Proven experience at management level within manufacturing and engineering

Relevant third-level qualification (desirable)

Excellent leadership skills including goal setting, motivating, training, and mentorship
