Role: Fund Accountant – ETF Manager (Advisory)

Overview
An international professional services firm is seeking an experienced Fund Accountant with ETF expertise to join its Financial Accounting & Advisory Services (FAAS) department.
This team provides specialist fund accounting and operational advisory support to asset management and fund administration clients, helping them improve financial operations, enhance reporting controls, and drive process automation.
The role offers the opportunity to work across complex client engagements, develop as a subject matter expert in ETFs, and contribute to transformation and system implementation projects across the fund accounting lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide fund accounting expertise to support client projects and engagements
- Assist clients with NAV production, new fund launches, and system migrations
- Conduct ETF basket services, including:
- Portfolio Composition File (PCF) preparation
- ETF creation and redemption order processing
- Settlement arrangements (cash and in-kind)
- Authorized Participant (AP) inquiries
- Rebalancing and collateral processing
- P&L calculations
- Review and improve fund administration processes, enhancing timelines and controls
- Reconcile Prime Broker, Custodian, and Counterparty data with fund systems
- Support financial reporting and reconciliation design
- Introduce management information dashboards / KPI reporting
- Mentor junior staff members and contribute to technical knowledge sharing
- Act as SME in fund accounting or ETF-related areas
Experience & Requirements
- 3–5 years’ experience in fund accounting (ETF experience essential)
- Deep understanding of NAV production and fund accounting processes
- Experience in asset management, fund administration, or consulting
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Excel; familiarity with fund accounting systems an advantage
- Exposure to financial reporting, performance fees, and waterfall calculations desirable
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CPA) or equivalent preferred
- Proven ability to work within multinational or project-based environments
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills
