Yard Operative - Two vacancies Carlow Town AND Tullow
Full-Time | Permanent | €14.50 - €15.50 per hour DOE
A leading supplier in the construction sector is seeking a Yard Operative to join their team in Tullow. This is a permanent role created due to company growth and increased customer demand.
This position will suit someone with experience in a builders providers, warehouse, or construction environment.
Key Details

Hours: 7:30am - 5:30pm (flexible, split shifts available)

Working Days: Monday to Saturday (approx. 1 Saturday per month, rotated)

Location: Tullow

Forklift: Counterbalance licence
The Role
You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the yard and warehouse area, assisting trade customers, managing loading/unloading, and maintaining a safe, well-organised space. You’ll work as part of a supportive team delivering high levels of service.
Main Duties

General upkeep and organisation of the yard and warehouse

Picking, packing, and loading materials for delivery and collection

Safe operation of forklifts and yard vehicles

Assisting customers on-site in a professional, helpful manner

Liaising with the shop team to fulfil orders

Following health and safety protocols at all times
What You’ll Need
-
Experience in a builders merchants, warehouse, or construction-related role
-
Forklift experience (valid counterbalance licence preferred)

Strong customer service skills and a hands-on approach

Full, clean driver’s licence
Nice to Have

Product knowledge of building materials
