We are looking for a skilled Plant Fitter to join a dedicated maintenance team.

What You’ll Do:

Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HGVs, construction plant, and machinery.

Diagnose and fix faults both on-site and in the workshop.

Conduct pre-use inspections and safety checks to ensure all equipment is compliant.

Maintain accurate service records, job sheets, and defect reports.

Coordinate with site managers to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime.

Manage spare parts and consumables efficiently.

Respond promptly to breakdowns, including occasional out-of-hours support.
What We’re Looking For:

Qualified HGV Mechanic or Plant Fitter (National Craft Certificate or equivalent).

Proven experience with HGVs and construction plant maintenance and repair.

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.

Full clean driving licence (HGV licence desirable).

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental procedures in construction/civil engineering.
Desirable Extras:

Experience with hydraulic systems, welding, and fabrication.

Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificates.

Familiarity with road surfacing or civil engineering equipment.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (flexible for occasional overtime or emergency call-outs).
