A leading manufacturing business in Longford is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to carry out plant maintenance, preventative maintenance, and project work on a range of industrial equipment.
This role offers the opportunity to work on varied machinery and plant systems, with regular overtime available.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment.

Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise downtime.

Support installation and commissioning of new machinery.
-
Work with hydraulics and mechanical automation systems.
-
Maintain high standards of safety and follow established procedures.
-
Collaborate effectively within the maintenance team to achieve production targets.
Requirements:
-
Trade qualified fitter with strong mechanical knowledge.

Minimum 3 years’ post-apprenticeship experience in a manufacturing or plant environment.

Solid understanding of maintenance processes and plant operations.
-
Strong communication, organisational, and multitasking skills.
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-
High attention to detail with a proactive, self-motivated approach.
-
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
-
Knowledge of continuous improvement methodology (advantageous).
-
Electrical experience beneficial but not essential.
